How to calculate the speed of the European standard tapered sleeve pulley?

V pulley is usually installed on the motor shaft and the equipment shaft. It is often necessary to calculate the speed of the main driven pulley during the selection of the models. Here we set the diameter and speed of the motor pulley (driving pulley) as d1 and n1, and the diameter and speed of the driven pulley are d2 and n2. The calculation formula of the pulley speed can be obtained from the principle of mechanical transmission: d2/d1=n1/n2=i; that is, d2=d1*(n1/n2).

Groove Dimensions of European Standard Taper Sleeve Pulley

When selecting taper lock buh V- pulley, the corresponding specifications of the groove type and specific size need to be found out according to the data. There are few models of V- pulleys, which are divided into SPA type, SPB type, SPC type and SPZ type. At the same time, it has different groove size data from the national standard and American standard pulleys. The specific data are as follows:

SPZ type pulley is 34° when the pulley diameter ranges from 50mm to 80mm; it is 38° when it is from 85mm to 450mm;

SPA type pulley is 34° when the diameter of the pulley ranges from 63mm to 118mm, and 38° when it is from 125mm to 630mm;

SPB pulley is 34° when the diameter of the pulley ranges from 100mm to 190mm; when it is from 200mm to 315mm, it is 38°;

SPC type pulley is 34° when the pulley diameter ranges from 200mm to 315mm, and 38° when it is from 335mm to 125mm;

How to Choose correct model size of V pulley

With the specific speed and the parameter range of each model and specification of the pulley, we can find the appropriate size from the corresponding specification table based on the previously measured data, such as SPB125-02, which is one of the specifications. Surely it would be better if there are specific drawings. Some corresponding specifications of the European standard tapered sleeve pulley may not be found out by the enterprises in the standard parameter table through the calculation and measurement data.
